Wurli started towards the end of 2018. We were three friends at university with a BIG passion for music. We wrote many songs and gigged very hard playing at venues all around Melbourne. When Covid-19 hit everything was brought to a halt. Gigs were cancelled and we weren't able to see each due to lockdowns. A moment of grace was being awarded the Amex Music Backers Grant in 2020 and being able to record with Anna Laverty at Sing Sing Studios. In 2020, as the music scene sheepishly awoke, life had gotten busy. Will had taken a big journalist job. Prudence had started releasing solo music as . And the saddest of all, Nanon our beautiful drummer boy was returning to his home in Thailand. As a result, we mutually decided that the band had reached its final chapter. We didn't want to go out without a BANG. So as our final thankyou and goodnight we recorded our debut EP 'Karnchanachari' named after dear Nanon. It features some old favourites and some new bangers.
