Jaiia Xitika Cerff is 18, from Byron Bay, and his wacky and eclectic personality is reflected in his tracks, that he creates using a fusion of organic sounds, analog synths, and live rhythms. A producer, drummer, and keys player, he grew into music through his obsession with patterns and mathematics. As a child, he travelled the world, hoping from festival to festival alongside his fam, hanging out with a bunch of artists like Opiuo and Tipper, pioneers in the new wave of glitch-hop. Among other things, he’s a magician, a budding poet, the musical director at the Spaghetti Circus and has represented Australia at the UN’s 21st conference of parties (COP) in Paris. If you put downtempo, hip-hop, and dance music into a blender, the product would be the music of xi-tika.
