XINSAIN (pronounced SHIN-SAIN) is a Sydney-based rapper and multidisciplinary artist whose work sits at the intersection of hip-hop, visual storytelling and lived experience. Drawing from his South Asian heritage and his experience growing up between cultures, XINSAIN explores identity, isolation, ambition, resilience and the tension between who we are expected to become and who we choose to be. His music pairs introspective writing with bold, cinematic production, moving between vulnerability, aggression and a sense of restless self-belief. Beyond the music, XINSAIN approaches each project as its own visual world. Through creative direction, filmmaking, performance and conceptual storytelling, his releases extend beyond individual songs into characters, imagery and interconnected narratives. His 2025 debut album MOWGLI established this approach through a story of otherness, oppression and self-empowerment. Since then, releases including WUKONG, HOME-MADE and the AGAINST ALL ODDS EP have continued to document a period of personal change — confronting heartbreak, instability and the determination to keep moving forward regardless of circumstance. Now building toward his next album, H1GHER, XINSAIN is entering a new chapter centred on growth, clarity and the pursuit of something beyond survival. For XINSAIN, the goal is not simply to make music, but to build a body of work that feels like a world of its own.
