Edit history

XYANIX is an independent unsigned metal band from Brisbane, Australia. Drawing influences from a wide spectrum of heavy music the overall sound of the band has continuously developed and evolved. Forming in 2009, the band started gigging in 2010 around the local Brisbane metal scene. 2011 saw the beginning of a lengthy series of line-up changes as Glen and Ace/Paul strived to find a sense of direction, and navigate creative and personal issues. After an 18month hiatus Xyanix reformed with a renewed sense determination and creative drive. After an extensive search the band welcomed the skilled and experienced Alex from London based metallers Obiat on bass. Following another exhaustive search, Pete (Drums) arrived on the scene injecting a renewed energy to the sound and direction of the band. XYANIX is currently recording their debut full length album and booking shows everywhere they can.
