As a kid in Townsville, Jacob Edmonds had a love for music but never could express it, moving to Brisbane and finding a hard drive with 2000 of the most influential hip-hop songs of all time sparked a Passion. It was through this catalog that he found the musical company he wanted to keep, finding catharsis in writing and therapy through storytelling. Now living in Sydney for the past 4 years with a backlog of tracks, Yakobi is ready to share his music. Lyrically dense and deeply personal, Yakobi invites all people to listen and learn from his experiences. Yakobi is an artist for the discerning listener and habitual self-improver.
