Edit history

Kevin & Karen Hinds met when they played in the band “Silent Running” in the 1970’s. This band was the genesis for the popular rock-boogie “Ginger Mick Band” that played original material around great venues of that time and shared the bill with names like “Little River Band & “Simple Minds” at Bombay Rock. Kevin “Mick” Hughes and David Churchill have a wealth of musical talent between them and together with Kevin and Karen made a splash as “Alias” with an array of dynamic frontwomen, Beverly Barnett, Robyn Carter and Jo Fraser. The band has supported acts like “John St Peeters” and “Teresa Vee”. We write and perform our own material, and play some favourite covers as well. Our songs reflect personal and universal experiences, so the style is quite diverse, featuring, pop, blues, jazz, and more, but grounded in life in Australia.
