Whether its performing at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas (twice), Woodford Folk Festival or support act for Megan Washington, Yazmindi’s industry experience being a self managed independent artist with performances at national and international festivals belies her age. Yazmindi (23) is more than “girl and guitar,” with authentic talent nurtured in the supportive Far North scene with massive love of live music and dancing together on proud Bama country. Born in Cooktown, Tropical North QLD (now based in creative hub Byron Bay) Yazmindi moved to Melbourne in 2018 and found herself making the journey back home during covid. Inspiringly, she used this time to explore this experience through her music; recorded and self funded her debut album, which translates into such a raw piece of art that is understated in its power. Recorded this year in North Queensland with renowned producer Mark Myers (The Middle East, Emma Louise). 'Talk' is her latest single, debut album out in August!
