YONDER is a rock band based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. YONDER formed in early 2017 after brothers Jordan and Brendan Huxley began working on a new project after Brendan’s previous band Fox and Fiasco began to wind down. YONDER played their first live show in September 2017 to great success and hit the studio to record their first single, Way. Since then YONDER has been making waves in the South East Queensland music scene, playing various clubs both as support and headline act. The four piece seamlessly combines anthemic rock in the vein of U2 and Toto with the edginess and extravagance of Radiohead and Queen, alongside melodious ballads and softrock sensibilities of Coldplay and Billy Joel. YONDER is melodically driven by the Huxley Brothers, with Jordan taking the reins on piano and vocals alongside Brendon on guitar and backing vocals. Emerging from the Gold Coast September 2017 it wasn’t long before YONDER started to grab local record label and industry attention including Konnection Artist Assistance (@KONNECTIONAA). Konnection Artist Assistance’s Kirsty Abrahams has taken on the role as Manager of the new band helping YONDER to reach their full potential. With their debut performance back in November 2017 completely exceeding all expectations this Alternative/ Soft-Rock styled band is one you are sure to remember. We're YONDER; a two piece music project and brothers from Windsor, UK. We started making music together soon after the first lockdown hit back in March 2020. Since then, we've been writing and composing our own music at home, taking control on the writing and composing between us. We've recorded a couple of tracks with our friend and producer, Ian Flyn, which we cant wait to share with you. In terms of genre, we consider ourselves an indie rock band, however synths also play a heavy part in our overall sound. We hope to start playing gigs as soon as pubs and venues re-open. We've both had past experience playing in bands together, however were excited to get this project out on the road and bringing energy to the live performances.
