You Are A Ghost is the solo project of Gavin Buddy. Formed in 2019 after 15 years of writing and recording with various outfits in and around Melbourne. Embracing the DIY punk ethos of using whatever is at your disposal to create ‘something’, is central to the core of the project. That ‘something’ for You Are A Ghost is at times a noisy, ambient, psychedelic, dreamy mix of electronic & live instruments and vocals that cover a range of genres whilst being true to the original concept of the project. Recording from home on an old dusty 8 track You Are A Ghosts music is unrefined and original whilst retaining an eye for hooks and pop melodies.
