Ryan Young and Vanessa Bates are the face behind Young and the Beast, an acoustic duet emerging from the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Their sound represents the classical and grunge-blues upbringing of Ryan, mixed with Vanessa’s folk and r&b influences. Together, their music, about love and life, is easy listening and a recipe to heal the soul. December 2014 marked the release of their first studio single and official music video ‘Streetlights’. Their debut album ‘Piece Together’, recorded at MV studios, will be released in August 2015.
