Hi. My name is Yvonne Wink and I and my son’s band Miranda wrote the song – Undivided Now. I felt driven to do this from my work as a Paediatric occupational therapist who works across many local government areas across varying children settings – home, kindergarten, early learning centres and schools. Everyone makes jokes of people being on their phones, but I want to highlight the effects that this is having on our children. Firstly, I want to say that I am not wanting parents to throw away their phones. I realise that this is not possible. We have too many facilities available to us via our phones. We can get phone calls, receive and send emails, set our alarms, read the news and even take photos with our phones. We have made our phones a very useful accessory, too useful to ‘turn it off and put it down’ for long periods of time. All I am asking for is 10 minutes undivided time. 10 minutes – most people hear that amount of time and laugh. But I am serious in asking that our
