Zaac Cortes is a Colombian and Australian citizen Singer Songwriter, with a music influential background on Jazz, Blues and Rock however his passion is song writing. He has been playing live in bands, in Acoustic groups and duos and as a solo performer since the age of 16. This included playing lead guitar for Anomalia, which was a Rock band in Bogota, which came first place in a national TV competition, School of Rock the Klan C on Channel 13 ZAAC has released his first song, Please Don’t Say Goodbye from his album, Overwhelming Thoughts, which he is currently working on and will be releasing new music through the year. All his songs are written based on stories or different chapters of his life, he especially likes to tell stories through music. In his words: “I feel that my calling is to bring these stories to every person in the world and create a connection with them and maybe to be able to share the same or similar feeling that I felt when I was writing my song”. His music influence is coming from artists of all genres and eras, such as, Daniel Caesar, Tom Misch, Charlie Puth, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Guthrie Govan and Joe Petrucci. ZAAC is producing electro pop, with a more melancholic and dark sound, accompanied by a synthesizer which creates different electro sounds and gives a cosmic atmosphere, also having a lot of instrumentation with the electric guitar, bass and drums which bring to the table more variation to the songs. This 2022 for him looks like: “I feel that the album that I am working on is very different from the other artists in the industry and I am sure it is going to surprise and impact, I am so excited to share my new music in 2022”.
