From the age of ten, Australian singer and songwriter Zanee was trained as a classical singer. And, as she entered her early teens, she picked up the guitar and started to write her own music. Looking back at these formative years spent carving out her musical voice, Zanee describes her youngerself as an, “old soul who didn't fit into the same world as the other kids at school”. For the young talent, writing music was her escape and a means to express her true self. Born in 1993, Zanee draws much of her musical inspiration from this decade. Motivated by the leading women from ‘90s bands such as No Doubt, Hole, Garbage and The Cranberries, Zanee says, “these women know how to rock.” Zanee a musical marvel. Now 26, and having developed a distinct sound over the past 16 years, Zanee’s music is garnering attention within the music industry. Her debut single “How Far Would You Go” is punctuated by a punchy bass line that creates an edgy suspense, leaving the listener wanting more. This
