If Wham!, Daft Punk, and LMFAO had a baby, they would have created Zeko Deshoda—a young genre-bender out of Calgary, AB. With elements of hip-hop and house music Zeko creates upbeat, punchy club tracks. His songs are lush with synths, thick bass-lines, complex drums, and fast-paced rapping. Major influences include Kaytranada, Chanel Tres, Tame Impala, Daft Punk and Homeshake. Before falling for music, Zeko played competitive volleyball and aspired to become an Olympic athlete. But as his ambition made him more disciplined in the sport, he felt more conflicted in which career he wanted. He always loved to perform and entertain, even before he started rapping, and at 15 he performed for a hip-hop charity named Unity at his Jr. High School. This was the start of his journey into music and ultimately, pushed him to commit to becoming a full-time musician.
