Nearly a permanent case of forgotten identity, ZIWEI is now a singer songwriter – hailing from the beautiful sunshine state of Queensland. Experiencing struggles with his identity in his late teens, ZIWEI dropped all childhood dreams and aspirations of pursuing music. But being an absolute creative in nature, ZIWEI still dabbled in the occasional music performance in formal events and putting out song covers for his small online community to fulfil a part of himself that he has always needed to fill. A series of pivotal life events in 2017 acted as a catalyst to spur him back to his love for music which has since acted as his most effective form of therapy. ZIWEI’s current journey in music whilst still young and green, can be best described as an ongoing process of reinvention – one that has brought him full circle to the only thing he has ever known from his childhood days. His return to music and art can be followed on YouTube through the chronicles of his video journal series
