Zombie Cats is a 5 piece Indie-pop band whose unique musical style draws on a range of influences; from Ray Charles, Otis Redding and the songs of the swinging 60s...to Lauryn Hill, Gotye and Bat for Lashes. Having recently returned from Melbourne where they recorded their EP with the Aria nominated producer Steven Schram (The Cat Empire, San Sisco, Little Red) the band consists of 2 brothers, 2 lovers, and a chanteuse. Expect an amalgamation of jazz infused pop, soul soaked melodies, dark narratives, catchy riffs, fat groove, muddy blues, tenacious vocals, dissonant harmonies, and at times...a free, improvisatory/experimental approach to the music.
